課程概述 |
This 2-credit required course serves as a roadmap for undergraduate students who are about to receive the professional education of library and information science. Information science is an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research domain. However, its origin, definition, scope and boundary are highly ambiguous. It is one of the most enthusiastically participated, debated, and appropriated research domains. This course will give you an orientation of information science from the LIS perspective.

課程目標 |
By attending the class, you will:
Learn the basic concepts, histories, and current emphases of information science.
Learn what information science is about in regards to information content, information users, information technologies, and information services. |
|
課程要求 |
Seats are reserved for LIS students including those taking a double major or minor in LIS. If seats become available, priorities go to those who are taking the Knowledge Management or Communication Program; senior students who are about to complete the program will be first considered.
